Warcraft Classes and Real Life

I’ve been thinking about character classes and which one could exist in real life.  I’ve come to the conclusion that only one or two are possible.

For starters, we can throw out any of the casters.  I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen someone conjure up a fireball or lightning out of their hands.  This takes out Mage, Warlock, Druid, Shaman and Priest.

Next I can remove any healer type, since real life healing takes time, medicine or bandages.  This only takes Paladins out of the mix.

We’re now left with Warrior, Rogue, Hunter and Death Knight.  I haven’t ever seen anyone turn invisible, so there goes Rogues.

As for Death Knights, people spread disease every day… But no one ever controls the undead.

This leaves us with Warrior and Hunter, both could be possible in real life.  They each have some minor things that are unrealistic, like Thunder Clap and Wyvern Sting, but are possible for the most part.

Warriors use a lot of offensive melee attacks, hitting enemies in different ways to deal more damage or slow them.  Hunters, on the other hand, control the loyalty of animals, attack with bows or guns and set traps.

All in all, none of the classes could really exist.  That’s one reason Azeroth is in a fantasy universe.  If there were a real life person class, it would probably be the least popular one since people are pretty boring.
